Each year the Empire Bay Progress Association organises an Anzac Day Commemoration Ceremony at the Cenotaph.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  >>>

Have you ever wondered what lies behind the names inscribed on the Empire Bay Cenotaph?  >>>

In 1946, Empire Bay Honour Roll Committee received approval by the Erina Shire Council to erect a Memorial and Honour Roll on the reserve near
the Empire Bay wharf.

Our Cenotaph

The Empire Bay Cenotaph bears the names of those local men and women
who lost their lives during the World Wars. Centrally located within a roundabout near the Empire Bay shops, ferry wharf and boat ramp, it takes pride of place
in the Bay. The gardens, plinths and honour rolls are lovingly maintained
by local volunteers.  Every morning and evening the flag is raised and
lowered as a sign of remembrance.
